Scrubb posted on the gardening thread a while ago, asking about what to do with about 15 habanero chillies. Here are some recipes from "allrecipes": linkI am not very familiar with habanero chillies, but they seem to feature in mexican recipes, if you like that cooking style, you might find other recipes? Anybody has any tested recipe for Scrubb?

Thank you, auntieannie! I will check out that link. And as you mentioned maybe smoking them - what a good idea! I will do some googling.
sophie - I don't usually make jelly of any kind, but I think I'd like that recipe to eat with cheese. Thank you!

And I never add any food colouring.

I made it today, Sophie! Only had enough sugar for a small batch but it used most of my peppers up.
Preliminary tastings give it a thumbs up!

i wonder if taking a pepper or two and finely chopping them but not adding them to the blender so is there some texture with the chopped pieces rather than a smooth jelly?

I think that would be good too, shrjeff. I'd stir them into the jelly while it cooks.
This one isn't super hot - if I just taste it by itself it has a real zing, without burning your mouth. When it's with cheese and crackers it's kind of a warm glow. Mr_S likes it a lot as it is. For myself, i'd do what you suggest and add some more pieces of pepper later in the process to give it more texture and more zip.
Next time I grow them, I'll do one batch each way :-)
