This year I will be a bit more selective about which chutneys I will make as our garden is still a work in progress and I will be buying ingredients. I just made another batch of ginger rhubarb chutney. Those of you who like chutney, what’s your favourite?

ah, I love chutney and love making them. I have tried many over the years, but I quickly settled on a recipe for spiced chutney, originally made with plums, but I've made it with almost anything that comes relatively cheap in season.
My niece particularly loved the apricot one I made (I had replaced the sultanas with dried cranberries for her), whereas my upstairs neighbour the retired chef really appreciated the crispy pear one I made during lockdown 1.

Ah… coconut chutney! I love it.. but I can’t find even with Google.. any which can be canned/jarred. All fresh.. if anyone has a long to a coconut chutney which can be preserved, I’d love it.

ah, coconut chutney... at the south indian restaurant in Exeter (doesn't exist anymore, sadly) they used to make it fresh everyday. and yeah, the recipe start with something like "find a sharp angled stone to open your coconut with" or words to that effect.
haven't heard of preserved coconut chutney. I guess the worry is that it could ferment? i.e. more so than with other fruit/veggies.

Chutney? She’s the one who killed her father. This is what went through my mind seeing “Chutney”! She of the big frizzy hair from “Legally Blonde 2”
Of course there is the other chutney which is a foodstuff, I’m a tomato sauce person myself, and even then the only thing I have it with is a sausage in bread. The ones you get from Bunnings on a Saturday morning. Or your Democracy sausage. And the bread has to be white. I could go for a few of those.
