no just martinique which was lovely the first time
the second was way more touristy they had built cruise ports took the lads great food good beach

Guadeloup is just a thought. I think it is less touristy than Martinique. There are a number of islands. Looking at Airbnb all the reviews are in French which I take as a positive - not many British and Americans. The beaches are certainly lovely but we need more than a palm tree on holiday (though I would welcome the need for shade after the grim summer weather here).

We like to get away from England in winter for a long stay. Guadeloup would be beyond our budget for that. I am cancelling the idea.

No, but I’ve watched all the Death in Paradise episodes, so feel I know it pretty well. The island of Saint Marie is just a hop, skip and a jump from there. Attachments:
