Annie - I usually never go to this page anymore and just found this ! thank you ! you are right, it's not my period, and I went to their site, but could find nothing to do with cooking ,just about their properties. thru another cooking group, I am "friends' with one of the cooks at Hampton Court ! -- which is even earlier than my period. It's all great fun.

I just had a quick look on YouTube for "18th Century cooking" and found lots of things. the first channel that came up was that of Townsends. I have no idea how good that is or if any of the various channels are any good. I will let you the judge of that. must admit it's mostly townsends... or there are squirrel recipes? Since most of the videos are usanian, you probably know everything about it.

Annie ! townsend is one of the better sellers of "stuff" for re-enactors. I had no idea they were doing this.. and it's truly incredible --it's a guy I taught to cook !about 20 years ago. His first lesson he wrecked one of my redware pie plates! thank you thank you !
