I have just weighed all the documents (flights, train, taxi, hotel, insurance) that we need for our trip next month. It totals over half a kilo. Nightmare.

Either very high quality vellum has been used, or you are going on a BIIIIG trip! I would be willing to travel in your place dear Baz to save you from the Nightmare!

Fifteen guest houses or hotels, eight flights, one train - it all adds up. The insurance policy is unfortunately in a small booklet. Though we have everything available on the iPad I like the security of paper.

Though we have everything available on the iPad I like the security of paper. Me too. I wouldn't travel any other way. If it's not in my hand, it's not real! Besides, I like to be able to check something when necessary. You can't always do that technologically.

Agree. Ipads work well if there is internet and charging facilities but have you noticed that all the holdup at the boarding gates are those trying to access saved data on phones .

I have just printed our boarding passes for Toulouse-Heathrow and Heathrow-Bangkok. It took me over half an hour. British Airways online is hopeless.
