I need your potter expertise as to how to get the air out of ziploc bags prior to freezing foods.
I had some ground bison and veggies left over that I stuck in a freezer safe ziploc bag. Try as I might, I could not get all of the air out prior to freezing to minimize frostbite. Either food would spill out or air was in the bag. Without any fancy equipment, what is your best technique for it?
Thanks so much!

I've heard the idea of putting a straw into a corner, closing up the ziplock right to the straw, sucking the air out and then finger over the end, remove the straw and zip that last smidgeon of lock.

I tried the straw technique and will have to work on it. A smaller diameter straw would helpl, I tried with a fairly large one. Overall it worked better than my prior attempts without a straw. Thanks for the tip!

Perhaps don't use ziploc bags. I use freezer bags where you just squeeze all the air out of the bag, twist the top and use a tie.
