Lovely photo essay. Those reindeer with long necks in the first photo were unbelievable. What do you mean they weren't reindeer? And the last photo of loo doors - does it mean that men have to sit down? I am reconsidering my idea of visiting Singapore.

By the time you have walked around the site sitting down for a short time may be a great decision

I opened this thread excited that kuskiwi is in Singapore... But are you already back at the airport? I'd come out of meet you, even if last minute!
I've still not been to gardens by the bay... Keep meaning to and it does look lovely. Are your photos from the paid area or free area? Just curious though I do plan to see both areas.
Those signs on the toilet door mean that it is a western style toilet. There are other signs for the squat toilets which still exist in Singapore. Usually at least one in most public bathrooms. I'm not sure that everyone sits in the sitting ones though as seats are often dirty and, most disturbingly, wet. No idea how they get wet as, when it is clear I assume it is water and not wee, yet most have no tap/hose inside for washing and it happens when women come out without a handbag where perhaps they had a water bottle. So my theory is that they use toilet bowl water for washing themselves... But I am getting sidetracked from the thread-sorry!

Unfortunately, while the flight change gave me a short time in Singapore it was unexpected and I didn't have time to contact you via The Pot. Next time I go that way will be more organised The gardens are magnificient. The first 5 photos are in the Flower Dome which is a paid area and the rest from the Cloud area and again it is a paid entry however there is a huge amount of space outside that I never even looked at because of the time constraints. They have annual concession tickets available at a reasonable rate and it would be a lovely spot to go for a stroll with a little one. All airconditioned, plenty of space and the littlies I saw there were having a lovely time.

What a fantastic place that is, Kuskiwi, the photos are amazing. Are the blue butterflies in the second photo real? I saw blue butterflies once at the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary in Kuranda. I found it hard to take photos because they flutter their wings so fast and always seem to be on the move. (I did get two photos a little blurry though.) The nutcrackers are a picture!
The loo photos are to let users know you sit on them, you don't squat on them.
