now that temps are falling (7C this morning), the only thing left in our tiny food garden are celery sticks. I'm thinking of freezing them to add to soups, etc over the winter.
Any thought?

Celery freezes well for soup/stock. I think you sent Mrs Faz a link to how good celery was for the body. She dislikes celery. But this is the season in England when you can buy good oldfashioned celery (not the stuff that is available all year). The autumn celery has to be blanched and is delicious. I buy it until it is finished about the beginning of December.

You have celery in your garden? That's great! I'll have to look into if it would grow well here.

We don't grow celery but I often buy a bunch, use most of it over a week and freeze the rest for making stock since I can't go more than two weeks without making stock for some strange reason. I think it's the smell in my kitchen and that I love making soup. Bought stock is nothing like the real thing.

Interesting that the only post Mockchoc has made in months is about celery. What would Freud have said?

A Freudian slip is when you say one thing, but mean your mother.

A Freudian slip is what happened to Sigmund (Freud) when he was hurrying to his rooms and tripped over the uneven concrete and hurt his knee.
