Or, according to some, bare trees.
Our neighbour has a drink in a pub with one of the beaters for the local shoot. And so, down the line, we have received a brace of partridges. These were probably shot on Sunday so they won't need hanging in pear trees much longer. I want to pluck them sitting outside and Friday looks sunny. And then - provided the birds have not been mangled by dogs or shot - we shall have delicious roast partridge. Or any other recipes welcome.

yes, hopefully they didn't make a mess of them. make sure all the lead shots/ plastic pellets are gone.
