Good news for dedicated film fans. There is a Swedish movie coming that lasts for 30 days. It is called Ambiancé. If you don't want to set aside a month to watch the film you can have a look at the trailer. That only lasts 7 hours and 19 minutes. I dipped into the trailer. It is set on a beach in southern Sweden. That's about it. There are no cuts. After about 4 hours I saw a fire on the beach. That was pretty gripping. Later I saw two figures standing around. Apparently they are performance artists though I didn't notice any performing. The full length film will be released in a couple of years. I'll report back on that.

No, no, I am back. Just went down the road to check out the new cinema complex that opened on Friday. It has six screens. All of them are showing films for people with an IQ of 60.

Unpack your bag, Mark. You won't get in if you are over five feet tall. Also you will be searched for knives that take stones out of boy scouts' bums.

I think it is a bit of hoot.
We have had music that is never heard, and a construction that is never seen, now a film that never will be watched.
Ain't conceptual art just wonderful, and I'm all in favour of that.
P.S. it won't be the longest film, which would remain "Logistics" claim to fame.

I love Closing the Piano Lid. That is what a conceptual artist did with a resounding bang. Is that all? Can we have our money back?

A film that runs for 30 days? Who cares? What an idiot.
From Wiki -
Once the film's initial screening is completed Weberg will destroy the only existent copy of the entire movie, which he says will make it "the longest film made that doesn’t exist".
I was right. An idiot.

not a long film but the human condition series would be 9 hours if watched in a single sitting
starring the amazing tatsuya nakadai as a socialist during ww2

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to, for the first and perhaps last time in my life, type the phrase "Kuomintang Bildungsroman."

Mmmh. So what was the point of making that movie? There's art that I fail to understand.
The Italian movie "la meglio gioventu" was a couple of hours long and a friend of mine wanted to watch it in one go at the movies. Lovely movie, but I can't sit still for 5 hours and just watch.
