.....Thought that may get a few of you looking in to see what I am on about!
The 1978 and 2010 versions are both very impressive and well acted, but?
Is it a Feminist Triumph or a Misogynist Rape Fest?
It is very brutal, either way, but I reckon it asks so many questions on so many levels..
Any other good Horror/Vengeance/Exploitation Films you would recommend?..
(I reckon that less than 1% of the whole of the Posters on The Pot have seen either version..)

I belong to the 99%. What you have described was made by degenerate reprobates predestined to damnation and is not not my cup of tea.

Put me in the 99% bro. Thanks tilly I realised I was in the wrong percentile. Can I ask you what was wrong with your original Post that you had to 'fix it'? It's not Rocket Science what 99% or 1% is, Wino! Interesting, tzarine! I assume you are quite Religious, Netsuke?.. Oh, and just for you, Wino and The E55, I Spit on your Grave is being shown on The Horror Channel on Friday 13th November..Good Date for it! It's available on Virgin Cable at Channel 149 or Freeview on Channel 70... I look forward to your opinions of the film after actually having watched it.

So what kind of TV do you have wherever you live?
Australia, isn't it?..
What Book are you engrossed in at the moment?
What's the best book that you've read in the last couple of years?..
What's the Best Film you've seen in the last couple of years?..

Films, have all been average, no stand outs. Maybe Waterdiviner
Re reading Wilbur Smith books, they are fluffy but enjoyable, I work 12 hour days so not a lot of reading time
I am renting a house so the TV is circa 1976, Australian TV is dreadful except for ABC (BBC equivalent) mostly it is work, eat quick family catch up (phone), repeat for 12 days!

Furry Muff and thanks for replying.
The Water Diviner was yet another good to great film directed and starred Russell Crowe who is fast becoming a bit like Clint Eastwood - A great Actor AND Director.
The best bit in that film was when the stuffy Brit asked to exercise some horses and one of the ANZAC Officers shouted "Let him have Widowmaker!" Funny!
Your place reminds me of Tim Roth's place near the beginning of Resevoir Dogs for some reason..or maybe Brad Pitt in Kalifornia when the Cops knock on the door and he's all bonged up!
Shame you can't see I Spit On Your Grave so we could discuss it further..

It's only a bastard Gravy and looks carcinogenic to me.
Why should there be a Hindu word for a beef gravy?
Elephant gravy, maybe...

Yeah, and to be honest with you...
You really are a bit obscure with your Posts and you have a very limited Film knowledge as you keep recommending some Film from Japan or SEA all the time that no fecker has ever heard of.
How many People on a Forum do you honestly think have heard of clarice lispector and even know that she is a Brazilian Writer??
If I didn't 'like' you because you are 'Quirky' i'd just Post that you are a Pretentious To55er, to be honest.... and Away with the Fairies..
Oh..And Silence of The Lambs is not a 'Crap Film' as you say...
If you didn't like it it doesn't mean it's a 'Crap Film'..
Ya get me?

The Original and the remake are worth watching but ISOYG 2 was utter pants.

60+ fecking years??
Congratulations are in order there, Wino. Well done.
(I would normally make some crass comment like 'She should have gone to Specsavers' or 'Do you get on well with her Guide Dog?' but I will refrain from that as you are owed some genuine Respect.)
So? You work at a prison or a metal chain factory?

Ha ha ha!
Good job you don't play Darts as you'd never work out the Double to go out on!
A 'Score' as you now now, is 20 - be it Years or Pounds..
For 10? You need Tony Benn, Uncle Ben(rice), Dirty Den(Eastenders), Big Ben(Clock), Bill and Ben(Cartoon series in the 70's), Speckled Hen(Real ale over here) or Nigel Benn (Boxer).
Congratulations for being married so long, nonetheless.
Is your place drier than Dubai and the Middle East? I had a chat today with a mate in Bloemfontein, SA, and they are experiencing 40+ degrees each day and 24 degrees at night. Serious Drought.
Drier/Hotter than that?

|
|
Post by outside cat @wino on Jan 7, 2016 23:31:27 GMT 2
Certainly the ME gets hotter but some how we get an award although I always thought the Antarctic was drier as it doesn't rain much.
Our drought would be aligned to the SA one (el nino)with the Brits in a la Nina (sp) regardless it is pretty dry on south Australia. Funny part is around Sydney it is belting rain.
Thanks on the marriage, she deserves a fucking big medal.

What does 'the ME' mean?..
Trivia Answer!
If you are asked "What is the largest Desert?" and you are thinking Sahara?...Gobi?...That place in South Russia?
Forget all that Crap as The Sahara is the largest DRY Desert but Antarctica and The Arctic are the first two largest Deserts.
(You can look up for yourself what a 'Desert' means!)
