Why are you so obsessed with Posting on 'What's for Dinner Tonight' where no one cares because it's bean going on for ages and all you seem to do is show off you various culinary skills...
....And yet, for the past 2 weeks, you have totally ignored Slowcoach'e OP on August 9th that mentioned you as a 'another literary chef.' when describing Len Deighton..
Have you two fallen out?..
As a slight aside, and to make this OP worthwhile...
The Best Scene involving Food in a Film?
I'll go either the octopus/squid eating scene in Oldboy or That scene in the The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover...

10 views - including Baz - and no replies??
"I logged into the Pot - and there at the top was an ad for one of my books. You can buy a Kindle edition of Shooting Star for 99p, apparently, but the offer ends in a couple of days."
Are you taking the pi55 up there or what, Baz, with an OP like that??

What's the matter with you these days, Grecian? He's "hungry". ? Well, he does have a good appetite. When he ate at Chateau Faz he polished off his plate of oysters and then ate Writeon's which she claimed were too big. More likely he is hungry for attention. So, hi Geeky. Here's sending you some virtual couscous.

Uuuurgh! The Devil's Sperms...
And what great Oysters they were! I, personally, don't see the point of them and yours were the only that have ever passed my lips so thanks for me forming my stereotype of Oysters..
But, saying that, if Oysters were going to be any good, then yours were bloody brilliant..(I think i've dug the hole big enough for me now..)
54 views now!....You see what you did there, Baz by replying?
I will assume that you really have fallen out with Slowcoach then as you STILL haven't replied to his/her OP on the Food Thang?
Is your book really called 'To El and back'?...Still a rather desperate OP up there, don't you think, with hindsight?
Anyway - Best Food scenes in Films, anyone?..

Not really a film, but Mr Creosote?
Certain scenes in Theatre of Blood with Vincent Price.

I'm so glad that you didn't post a ULube Clip to Mr Creosote - good shout there..
One more Waffer?
Theatre of Blood I have on DVD and it's a Classic! Get those Poodles down your Gullet you fatty!
I don't think that I underestimated you before, Mark...rather overestimated you..
(Whatever that means!)

Geeky I thought you'd like to know that tonight we had smoked salmon; roast chicken and potatoes and runner beans; and chocolate cake with a nectarine.

La Grande Boueffe, 1973 French /Italian film about four friends who gather together for the sole purpose of eating themselves to death. Suicide by gluttony, with a menu beyond belief. ("to die for") A highly controversial film. Marcello Mastroiaoni one of the principle actors.

The synpopsis is "A group of men hire some prostitutes and go to a villa in the countryside. There, they engage in group sex and resolve to eat themselves to death."
One review says "Repetitive and deliberately disgusting, exaggerated and unpleasant but somehow working fairly well that way, La grande bouffe, directed by Marco Ferreri, isn't by any means a great film in my humble opinion, but it was a very worth-watching one. It satirizes pretty much literally society's self-destructing impulses and urges."
Sounds like a winner to me! I'll put it on my list of films to watch.
You must have seen at least 1 Film with an eating scene in it, Wino...even if it is an Hollywood Blockbuster with Mel Gibson eating a burger?..
How can you pouch a Starter, Main and Dessert (afters) every night, Baz?
I'd have settled for the Chicken with your runner beans and had the smoked salmon as Brunch on Saturday. Forget desserts unless it's a ball of Lemon Sorbet for the palate.

"How can you pouch a Starter, Main and Dessert (afters) every night, Baz?"
It's the cheap red that does it.

But not that cheap now you are back in Blighty, Old Bean?...
As regards your question about Mr Hawking above?
Just watch The Theory of Everything as it does explain it all in fine detail.
What's your favourite eating scene in a film, Baz?

the best scene of all times is in The Loved One in the scene with Mr. Lovejoy's mother having a food orgasm...

F uck me, Sherrif!
I've tried all kind of Searches and bugga all has come up - so to speak!
The best I can do is that Sir John Gielgud was in it, along with Rod Steiger. And that's it.
Please describe the scene you have nominated so we can all get a flavo(u)r of said scene..

FFS! Thanks a lot! I forgot to search on ULube for "Meet Mrs Joyboy"! I assumed that The Loved Ones/Eating scene/Food etc may have come up with that.
That is so brilliant and thank you Sherrif! When it finished I was still waiting for an early appearance from Leslie Phillips saying "Ding Dong" in the corner or Frankie Howard in the background just rolling his eyes!
I do believe you are winning at the moment...
(If I ever get banned from here or anywhere else, I will Log On again under Mrs JoyBoy!)
