that I lived in a city.
My sleeping patterns are all over the place, due to working nightshift and also due to a week of FREEZING weather.
Yesterday (Saturday) I got home from the gym at 5pm (nearly dark) and, not having lit a fire, got into bed to read a book. Of course I ended up going to sleep.
I woke up at midnight, full of beans. I lit the fire. If I lived in a city I could have gone to the laundromat, the supermarket and a cafe. But I couldn't. Now I have to do all those things today. Boo!

What do you mean, wrong branch? Valid point Sometimes I also wish I lived in the city. But for different reasons. I could go for a nighttime walk and not worry about bumping into a bear or other wild critters, I could see where I was going as there lights in the city at night.

When you go for a walk on this branch you bump into Geeky. That's scary enough.

It is fucking freezing here too. I wish I could hibernate, we drove in a bit of a blizzard yesterday coming back from the coldest place in SA.

I've been to Bloem' and J'burg in the Winter and those days seemed like the height of our Summer over here!
I wore an Hawaiian shirt, shorts and flip flops...
Apart from up the Drakensberg mountains, where else do you get snow in SA?

Sutherland is the coldest place in SA.
Matroosberg mountains near Ceres is the nearest place for good snow coverage.
Even in Franschhoek, the mountains this weekend were covered.

Named after Donald Sutherland after his great performance in Don't Look Now, I assume?
Wow! Looks like SA is bigger than I thought as i've never heard of any of those places!
Saying that, Is Franschhoek further out from Stellenbosch on the Wine Trail? I seem to remember a rather full bodied Cab Sav called Cannon Kop from somewhere round there?..

Pretty cold here too Missalaska. Got a bit of a cold snap and I'm going camping in the forest anyway tomorrow. Nice fire should fix the issue.
G'day Gherkin.
