either will be fine in terms of weather in november... though the good stuff in peru is on top of the andes or down at the amazon so you will need to bring both warm and cold weather clothes...

thanks. So then I have to decide then. There are other possibilities such as Marokko but the situation there is not so safe. Because Marokko i'd like to see as well, like Oman - have to check the Situation there. Peru would be a hardcore trip, starting in Lima, Nazca, Arquipa, Juliaca, Puno, yucay Macchu picchu, Cuzco.....and I don't know what else and all in 13 days inclusive the flight there and back.

You see, I have many dreams!

I was just in Morocco and felt totally safe, and had a fantastic trip. I did go with a group, but would recommend it. So don't take it off your list!! Parts of Mexico are having issues with drug and gang related violence, so in many ways, Morocco is safer at the moment. A friend has just returned from the east part of Mexico (Quintana Roo and Yucatan states) and said she felt safe there. Apparently the police are better paid there, although they did have one attempted shakedown at a traffic stop which she thwarted by asking for the officer's name and she left the car to take down the licence plate of his motorcycle. Apparently the police left very quickly at that point.

And Cuba is fantastic. I was there this at the end of this past November. Safe, interesting. And good weather..and great music! Unless you are with a tour group, getting around can be a challenge outside of the more popular destinations.

if you only have 13 days then at least in peru i'd narrow down the number of places a bit - it takes a while to get to places, and a lot of them are worth several days, and there is also the possibility of altitude sickness in places like cuzco and puno, so you might have to plan an extra day or two just in case ...

thanks rikita, that's right. I'd go with a group/guided tour (Studiosus sounds very interesting)and they are a bit hardcore.... Cuba sounds a bit more relaxed, a couple of times 2 or 3 nights at the same place and two hikes included...

I've never been to Peru but I've been to Mexico four times and I love it there... in fact one of the best trips I've taken in my life was to see the monarch butterfly migration in Michoacan which I think will happening in November (I went the end of December).

Mexico not These year beacuse my bf wants to come with me there and he doesn't have Holidays then. More and more I'm thinking about Cuba, the trip is not so packed like the one to Peru and it includes as well two hikes (o.k. short ones but hey...) and a day on the beach, so I would have everything, city, nature, beach and sun. Hmmm, I could extend summer since November is not really great in my Country. It's a 14 day trip, starts in Havanna, then Santa Clara, Trinidad, Sancti Spiritus, Camagüey, Santiago de Cuba, Baracoa (Humboldt-Nationalpark), Guardalavaca. Oh well, I have so many travel-dreams, don't know where to start and the other and as well, I don't have enough holidays....or money or I'm thinking I can't just spend everything on travelling...

Good choice..and bring your dancing shoes for Trinidad..the music and dancing there are the best in Cuba IMHO.

oh my god, to many options. Got more informations about Marokko and it sounds o.k. to visit it - and since I want to go there for a long time, I should do it. And the whole trip to go there is much easier than to Cuba..... We will see what happends next to my dreams....
