So...
Apple made the World Record Quater profits of ANY Company; Ever..
£18,000,000,000 ...just in one Quarter..See those zeros?..
That's Profit and not just Turnover.
What do they do with that amount of Money?
They certainly don't pay the required Tax and they certainly won't help the less off in the World..
It will go to their Shareholders who, by definition, already have Money.

Far Canal!! Looks like the following Video had F uck all effect then when it was first shown nearly 10 years ago..
You should be ashamed of yourselves, to be honest...

Living close to Silicon Valley (which is were the Apple headquarters are) I'm watching my beloved alternative Bay Area turn into a capitalist's wet dream. It's hard living here when you're not somehow tied into that insane amount of financial throughput that Silicon Valley generates. In the last 7 years the changes have been enormous. Rent, traffic-exploding. A lot of 'regular' folks pushed out of the area because of cost of living. Of course there is a lot of opportunity here as well due to all of the capital floating around, but you'd better be on top of your game. It's ultra-competitive.
As to the Apple profit margin-the mind boggles.

It is mind boggling indeed. I have friends who had been living in that general area, fairly comfortably, by no means extravagant, and they had to relocate to Arizona because they could no longer afford living in the Bay area. I imagine that this has been the case with many other people. The cost of living is OTT. I have another friend who lives in SF and works for CBS 6 or whatever the number is...anyway, her job in marketing is forever on the line in that at some point, as the TV industry is becoming more and more obsolete, she will be dispensed of. Half of her department has been "let go", which makes her job that much more difficult and she lives under an enormous amount of stress, never knowing from day to day, week to week when she too will be "let go".

Errrr...Have a look at the Title of the OP, Laydees...
It's not 'I have Rich Friends', is it?
"but you'd better be on top of your game. It's ultra-competitive"...Is that a line from a few Hollywood films like The Wolf on Wall Street/Wall Street etc?..
Wankers; the lot of them...

Well done Apple is what I say, the money all ends going back into the economy one way or another. They make great products and people want buy them, I'm writing this on my new Macbook Air - love it.

£18,000,000,000?
That's $35,683,661,645 in Australian dollars. Oh my. Oh, wait - that's only for a quarter. In a year that's - $142,734,646,580. Wow. That's an obscene amount of money whether for a quarter or a year.

Frankly, if it indeed turns out that 1% of the world population will own more than 50% of the assets of the planet in 2016, I will certainly not oppose confiscating at least 50% of that amount for redistribution. And the "1%" will still be immensely wealthy.

You stalking Hedon', Netsuke?
No replies in 15 days and you suddely dive in? I do agree with you though.
I so know you are a Full On Capitalist, Hedon' but they really do not plough their obscene Profits "into the economy one way or another".
They keep their Profits to themselves or their Shareholders and pay very little Tax to benefit the general Public as regards Education or any Health Service.
Apple have almost transformed Society as we know it as that is all people think about now - getting a new Product and wasting their time with it.
Whatever happened to Reading or Jigsaw puzzles?
