"BBC Sport has carried out a study into prize money in sport." Interesting not only in the amount for winning the sport but the difference, if any, between male and female winners, plus the sports that don't actually have prize money. www.bbc.com/news/uk-29665693

I saw that article, Mark, and went down all the different Sports and found surprisingly little differences between the Prize Money.
Fudge me! They already get the same as Men in the Tennis when the men play 5 sets and the Women only 3 and Men's tennis has so fewer annoying Grunts...
As regards Football - that's a total joke as only the Friends and Family of the players watch that sub standard product compared to the Men's game.
Oh, and Lesbians tend to like it as well as Rugby..
It's all about the level of interest; hence TV; hence Advertising etc...
It's just that ALL Female Sports are so inferior to the Male product - apart from Beach Volleyball.

I remember when footballers did a shift down the pit and then got thre'pence ha'penny for the bus to the match.

I don't mind a serious discussion, but it has to be on a serious subject. Some sport can be interesting but football is somewhere below crocheting in importance. I posted this survey because of its informative value that is relevant for all of about three nanoseconds. Though you've hit the nail on the head with Beach Volleyball.

Things that tend to involve engines. Like Paris-Dakar or Formula 1. Being able to sit and let something else do all the work is my idea of sport and exercise.

My hero. Also Dennis Skinner. I watch major football matches like the recent Barcelona/Real Madrid but UK football is often about as exciting as watching my eyebrows grow. To be enthralled by League Two games and to have had someone like Uri Geller as a Director means someone must be lacking somewhere.
One saving grace would be Joss Stone who could support me anytime.
