" South African police have launched a major manhunt to find the killers of national football captain Senzo Meyiwa, shot dead by suspected burglars." BBC News et al.. He was the Captain of the National Team of South Africa, known as 'The Boys' or 'Bafana Bafana', and played as Goalkeeper. He played for the Orlando Pirates who are mainly supported by the Blacks in J'burg... He was shot in the chest when trying to protect his girlfriend from 2 intruders. Yet another senseless Murder in South Africa... In 2002, SA were top of Murders using a GunI can't think it's changed much since so how are South Africa going to deal with this ongoing problem while the Politicians do Bu55a all and collect their corrupt money? Mr Zuma.... you Wanker!

It is fucking awful, the first thing I hear on the radio this morning having been away for nearly a month.
Mr Zuma has just cancelled a trip to UK because he can't get an audience with Mr Cameron.

Are we not allowed to swear anymore? Let me try again: FUCKING
A Swedish friend here says on a graph Sweden is like a flat line - constant, in SA it is peaks and troughs and the peaks are worth the troughs, which I think says it well.
He's got more that 20 children but that's not hard to achieve when you have multiple wives, and a couple of them have divorced him anyway. Thankfully he can't stand again for President as we follow the US system of 2 terms only.
There is a lot of uprising, we have (violent) service delivery protests often, the e-tolls campaign is going strong and is a flagship for non violent protest. However, the proletariat remains largely uneducated and scared of the devil they don't know, the ANC brought them their hard one freedom and I'm not just talking about the black community.

Ha ha! "oh dear can't swear" made me chuckle!
I will put my hand up and do think that I am the cause of the FudgeING Swear Filter - Fudge knows why as all I can do is post on Flushed which is 'un moderated'...
But then Sweden, such a beautiful place that it is, is a bit like Canada; Fudge all ever happens there apart from the Assanation of their PM and some Mad Fudger shooting 70+ Lefties on an Island a couple of years ago - that was Norway but same thing....
The 'peaks' as you call them was the release of Nelson and the subsequent years and the winning of the Rugby World Cup in 1995 which brought the whole Rainbow Nation together - watch Invictus - but since Nelson's sad death, the Country seems to have regressed and gone back to the Bad Old Days - not Apartheid...
I so hope that your Country do sort themselves out in, maybe, 2 Generations, as it is such a beautiful and diverse Country and people tend to forget that.
It is worth saving.

The peaks are also the smaller personal and local things, yes of course I've seen Invictus ha ha ha. The country won't be lost... but the shit that is going on now, been going on long before Mandela's death.
In the last couple of days I've met some awesome Xhosa and Zulu guys who buck the trend, particularly when it comes to the whole patriarchal element and are the total opposite to these awful people who dominate politics. Their passion and action for change has given me a lot of hope.

"I've met some awesome Xhosa and Zulu guys"....
Do you think that there is any feeling for a Black Uprising at all?

Not based on race, but there is a hell of a lot of community uprising in the form of service delivery protests, unfairness when it comes to taxi route allocation and of course Proudly e-tag free campaign.
The guys I've met recently are questioning the general apathy in their own communities when it comes to active citizenship, with a view to grassroots change. Which is awesome, one is a street coordinator and he is doing a skills audit of his street, getting people who he says are 'sitting at home doing nothing' to use their skills to build the community e.g. cooking for after school clubs.

I was talking Macro; not Micro above...
What is the e-tag free campaign?
The example you say there is hardly going to change the way a Whole Country develops for the next generation, is it?..
