what about putting the glue on the fabric and then place it in contact with the specific area on the christmas tree ball?

great ideas folks - the only problem with this one is you have to roll the fabric up to get it thru the neck, and then fiddle it flat once it's inside. I have even more respect than I ever did for those nutty sailors who made ships in bottles! I'm NOT going into the christmas tree ball business. ever.

I've usually been fortunate enough to have received lovely hand made gifts BUT the few that were anything but lovely had me in a pickle because the gifters were folks who came by occasionally and would look for their rather grotesque painted pots or what have you gifts.
The absolute most special and welcome hand made gift I received last year. Keep Calm and Carry On in the beensiest, itsy bitty stitches you've ever seen. Matted and beautifully framed. It is FABULOUS! I know that it took our Nin a year or so in the making. A time which was full of turmoil for her. I look at those little stitches and think about her doing something so incredibly SPECIAL for me. Blows me away every single day. It holds a proud place on my living room wall. As much as my friends love me, no one can believe someone would attempt to do something so tedious and time consuming and give it away.
Maybe Nin is just crazy. Maybe she's not around here much because she's so freakin sick of me. Whatever, she's on a pedestal in my gallery. She's a very generous soul.
