Who are these people who look at this thread and don't dare confess? All right, I'll be honest. When I visit England I always eat a Melton Mowbray pork pie. When we are living there I don't know how I'll curb myself.

oh, I MUST confess to liking the Melton Mowbray pork pies too!
and peanut m&ms were a major food group for me during dissertation writing time. now I need to lose the fat they (and crisps and other fatty/salty/sweet foods consumed in large amounts) made me gain.

Oh boy - this could be a long post...
1. I used to LOVE Chef Boy-ar-dee canned ravioli. Cold. Only gave it up because I stopped eating beef (not that there's much of that in a can of ravioli...) 2. I really like Lipton's instant noodles and sauce. Only eat them when camping now, so only once/year, but I secretly still love them even though they are really really crappy. 3. Although I don't think I ever ate 7 candy bars in one day, I did eat 3 full size Mars Bars in less than 15 minutes once. (I guess that was enough, because I didn't want one again for about 20 years after that.) 4. I still like ramen noodles, and eat them at least once/week. (I do add my own spices - fresh ground cumin & coriander - and a lot of hot sauce.)
Maybe I better stop and let someone else confess for a while...

Every so often, I have a craving that only Kraft Macaroni & Cheese can satisfy. Must be the original with the violent orange powdered stuff, cooked according to package directions. Served with a large glop of ketchup. 1 box = 1 serving.

I love bamischijven, kroketten and bitterballen. I'm not sure they exist in other countries but they're all deep fried snacks. Bamischijven are filled with noodles, kroketten are filled with meat un unidentifiable ragout-like substance that probably contains a lot of flower and slaugherhouse leftovers. Bitterballen are the same as kroketten, but kroketten are cylindrical (and preferably eaten in a soft white bun with mustard) whereas bitterballen are round and are eaten with a toothpick.
Oh, I'm getting hungry.

Istanbul confessions! This is a popular fast food corner in Istanbul's Taksim square. The first year I lived there my apartment was in walking distance and on my way home from a night out it often was my last pit stop for a quick snack. Cheapest burger & dürüm in the area and I think I don't even want to know what meat is used. The ultimate junk food snack however in Turkey for me is still kokorec. Here is an explanation of what it is.

I have had kokoretsi in Greece and it was delicious. We managed to grab the last table in the taverna. Everybody was waiting while the kokoretsi cooked on the barbecue. Kokoretsi, fried potatoes and a Greek salad washed down with retsina, sitting by the wharf, looking out over a small bay at men with lamps stabbing for octopus - wonderful.
