My memory.
Back in 1975 I was doing some work at SARM studios in London when the band FOX were recording. The driving force behind FOX was Kenny Young, a man held in awe by those around him.
I doubt that many people would instantly recognise the name Kenny Young but would recognize the hit single he co-wrote:
All thanks to tzarine and a walk to Brighton.

I was good today! I walked to and from the office (didn't take the bus); and in the evening I went for a run and did a mini work out in the gym. Usually I go the the gym at lunchtime but I just couldn't face it today. Somewhere I found the discipline to get in there this evening.

nothing for my body... but found a good new one for the other side of my brain. After the crossword puzzle I found a new one on the on-line NYT puzzle page - "Tiles" -- you have to match patterns and eliminate them . Yayyy - as I can't find a useable tetris anymore.

I've been moving into the new room on my cabin - which has meant moving stuff.. each time I think I've got it all in place.... I decide to try it again somehow different. AMD putting back all the little blue and white Dutch windmill thingys... lotta stretching and bending and... tired.

Today I should have gone for a run, but we went for a very long walk (about 2 hours) near the river looking for birds. The sandhill crane migration is currently happening and they are in huge groups along the river bank, and in the harvested fields.
I was still going to go for a run after that, but I have a cold and by the time we got home from the walk, and the book sale, I didn't feel great.

about to go out and take up all the matting that keeps the weeks down on the paths ( to the outhouse and where I park ) and bring in all the furniture on the deck, and and and and then empty out the fridge and larder of almost everything ( it could freeze and explode ) and load all that and the sewing projects for the winter into the truck. After that I get to go the community potluck supper to raise money for heating oil for those who need it over the winter. and then go home to Brunswick... and not get back here until next May...(quiet little sniffle..)

Today there have been gales and torrential showers. Undaunted I have been in my daughter's garden doing the autumn clearing (my daughter is not a gardener). This afternoon Mrs Faz visited my ex-wife then did yeowoman (if there is such a word) work in the garden until darkness and rain drove us is.

I spent the morning in my running gear, intending to go for a run. Finally felt ready to go at 11:15. My sister was supposed to arrive at noon so I was about to text her to say that if she was 15 minutes late, that would work well - when she texted me to say she would be here in about 8 minutes. So, no run.

San Francisco sight seeing.... that explains it all. From the Conservatory of Flowers to some stairs at 16th, then lands end sunset, China town and then a walk home to mission bay.

yesterday, we prepared the green areas for winter by mowing a last time, then scarify the whole lot before jet washing the machines used. And we also went to the recycling centre.

Not exercise but exercises.
Experimenting to see if I can find something that will alleviate my neck problem in the short term until it mends itself.
