I have no idea, probably I remember wrong, I don't think the mods would delete my post...I have a memory problems lately, having some troubles (no major) with my wife about that...haha. I always had.
Yes, 4 stars is very important for my son. We must get it very soon !
Those name changes depends on the sponsorships I guess, so that must be the reason. That club has a great management under a very good president. They should win a title in 1-2 or in 3 years.
Yes the same area, but constructed a new arena since you were away from Istanbul. That web 85000 website is giving bullshit information, called Eagle's Nest or official name Vodafone Arena has capacity of 41903, I just checked.
Sow continues, he scored another bicycle kick at the away match against Feyenoord today, and we won 0-1. Fener is through from the groups. It was a good match we have watched with my son, he just started to enjoy watching games. We play together sometimes and I send him to a club here to let him learn the rules and make some friends. He was not interested in in the beginning but I see he is warming up. Running with the ball, kicking and challenging other boys.
I also found myself a group here, playing every Friday night. How I am glad for this opportunity. The first time I played, that was first match of me almost after 5 years and drinking and smoking you know, my muscles were like a sponge-soft. I even could not shoot. But, no problem...I so love to play football, and caught up fast as a 39 year old.

I mentioned Besiktas 2 Posts ago and , unfortunately, they are in the news with those Deaths by their Stadium by Suicide Bombers from the PKK..Only Mark..
I thought that the PKK were Left Wing Radical Terrorists? Left Wingers are normally the Veggies and Vegans so they wouldn't hurt an Animal but don't think twice about killing over 30 Humans in a Suicide Bombing?? It really doesn't compute with me but no doubt ISIS are funding the fudgeing nuts...
I won't visit Istanbull while this Shite is going on so, I guess, the PKK have done their Job - Hit the Turkish Tourist Industry...Sad fudgeers...
Hey Peps! As long as you don't forget what your Wife looks like then you should be fine! please don't call her a different name when you are Making Love and on the Vinegar Strokes!
Did they redevelop that Bowl down the hill at Besiktas or move elsewhere? They are doing well at the moment...
My Mate said that we'd travel up to watch Spurs V Fenner IF they got drawn together but, alas, you lot got an easy team FK Krasnodar that I have NEVER HEARD OF!! Get through that over 2 legs...
I thought you were 45!...;-)
I went to Cheltenham V Exeter City last Saturday and never got so wet walking about 10 miles around Town as I made it a weekend. One of the best Away Days i've been to as we went 1-0 up then 1-1 then 2-1 and 3-1 to City! 675 City fans turned up and a great day out!
I slept 2 nights in a converted Mazda Van so Happy Daze!

Well, many incidents happening in here right now...Murder of the Russian Ambassador was the last one of it. Things are fucking CRAZY here ! PKK once sounded like a left-wing or it was a propaganda, they simply are a terrorist organization. Nothing more, and they learned eff a lot from ISIS. I will keep your suggests ! That bowl down there have been torn down and a new nice stadium has been built. Besiktas are doing fine now ! ....But Fener, is Fener all the time and we will be there all the time to battle for the title. GO FENER ! Krasnodar seems like an easy draw...I have little doubt that they will cause us trouble but hey, you know this is Football. I have days for being 40, but keeping my form back lately. No smoking, and almost 2-3 beers a MONTH, is helping. I discovered how my muscles got softer and softer due to no sports and routine beer drinking...while playing football i wanted to stop a hard ball with my left foot, when I put my foot in front of the ball and tried to kick it to safer, the fucking ball almost broke my leg ! It still hurts after about 3 weeks...that's something really really shocking you know, a simple ball.... Wife tells me I look younger Nice and classy video there, good football ! Slept in a converted Mazda Van ? You still got the spirit dont you.

Turkey is almost like Syria at the moment - One of the least places to visit. I'm glad that we met up when we did as it's a bit of a No Go area these days and your Tourism must suffer next Summer?
The Terrorists and Fucking - I think that you will understand even with Fudging and being replaced!
Any idea what Moussa Sow is on at Fener? He must want to play at a higher level - No disrespect to Fener'!
2-3 beers a MONTH?? Have a word with yourself! You are 40 so you should be drinking more now! Do an hour Cycle each day if you can as that gets the Heart going and firms up the various muscles. I have a lovely route down the Tow Path of the Canal over here and it takes an hour there and back and I get to do some Bird Spotting while cycling.
After Cheltenham away in the rain and in the back of a converted Mazda Van I have had the Man Flu for 4+ days now and feeling shite but it will be gone for Christmas!
I wish you and your wife and kid the very best Christmas and Enjoy! X!

Not like Syria yet, but in the same track...tourism is suffering since the last 2 years. Moussa could easily play at a higher level, just like Alex could. But, Alex prefered to stay...he loved the club and he got what he deserved. Moussa is a great striker, but getting a bit old for a new start I think. I think he will head to China, for the money. When I am in Germany, I find many opporutities to make the necessary moves...play football and such. Istanbul routine kills me, I cant find that opportunity to move more, spend my all time working and left in traffic, to close the gap when I am away from work. I think I will come less to Istanbul on the coming future, keep up a good form and have enough of the German beers. But I tell you, stopping my beer drinking routine alone, doubled my energy. Seriously ! I feel it ! I can better communicate, became more tolerant, better focused with a clear mind. But i dont know how long i can stand the bullshit Man flu is the moment we can truly express our emotional needs, ladies fail to understand that we have emotional needs and what society described as being a "man" does not give us enough space to express ourselves in that matter. And the flu is the great opportunity to get in touch with our emotional wounds....it is funny that women always complain about men that men dont understand their sensitive feelings, on the other hand women really dont seem to give a shite on understanding men's feeling. Moreover, they find it funny when we ask for some attention whilst being sick...hahaha. Very very complicated stuff, anyways.... Get well fast....thanks for Christmas wishes, we are atheists though but will enjoy the stuff for sure...Happy Christmas to you with your loved ones ! Wait a minute ! Is that X there a kiss ?

China for the Money??> It's getting really Mental there at the moment! Oscar for Chelski £60million transfer fee and £FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND A WEEK for a Squirt like that who was pretty Shite in the Premiership! I wonder where China gets all its Money from in Football, eh?
You have got a great Club there but most Footballers just go where the Money is and the Big 3 are the Premiership, La Liga and the Bundesliga...I admire any footballer who stays when the $carrot comes a calling.
Have you got Drinking Buddies in Munich(?) where you are? I dare say that the 5 a side Team you play with have a few after the match? A Man Needs a Beer every now and then otherwise they turn into a boring Pseudo Man Feminist that drinks Green Tea; eats lentils and Noodles; doesn't smoke and is NEVER invited to parties. Oh, and their Poop stinks to High Heaven!
You have 40+ years of attempting to understand Women, Peps, and I can guarantee you that after that 40+ years, you would have only scratched the surface of the multi faceted and down right devious Nature of a Laydee! A couple of things to set you on your way....They will NEVER admit when they are wrong and you are right and when you say something that is Cast Iron.....They will remain silent..No emotion. They will make you repeat it again as you so know you are right and all you get back is....Silence. They really are Funny Fuckers!
I'm almost 100% but now have Fucking Gout! FUCKING GOUT?? That's an Old Man's Problem who drinks too much Port and too rich foods! Guilty as charged!
I'm an Atheist and an Humanist so i'm covered and you have a cracking Christmas and New Year and I hope that you and yours 2017 is all you could have hoped for..
(The 'X' was for you to plant on your young son's forehead as he opens his presents on Christmas Day and I hope his Lifetime will be as good as ours..)

Well, speaking on women is dangerous I reckon. One must develop some skills to understand and not only that, more skills to express yourself is surely needed, all the time with that understanding way of expressing while taking care of emotions of the listener. That needs hard work I know, but without hard work you can't get any in this weird world. Or you prefer ending up a grumpy sad alone loser. Or, if you can deal with it without drinking and finding something doing fun enough and at the same time securing the necessary finances. Gotta be strong and never give up the challenge.
How was your end of the year times ?
Yes, I am turning into that tea drinking feminist who is never invited to parties you are describing. Just had my ginger and black tea, resting alone under a blanket on a rainy Sunday in Istanbul.
Fener s got a match tonight.

Sorry for the late reply but I landed in India in Delhi on 13th Jan for 3 weeks and the internet has been shite all over and only good now on Agonda Beach in Goa at 35 degrees!
It's 9:30pm here and just eaten the biggest Red Snapper you've ever seen and just enjoying some Old Monk Rum and coke at £2.00/bottle for 75cl as the monkeys and pigs do their stuff above and below my hut.
Women? Always dangerous, like you say. Every Woman is different and you think that you know them and then they go off on a tangent! It's such hard work sometimes and in the end you tend to say 'feck it' and move on as you realise that you cannot put up with THAT for the rest of your Life. They don't seem to make allowances for your shortcomings and just want it all the way THEY want it.
Judging buy your reply, it sounds like you think about thins a tad too much? If you are happy then fine; if you are not, then have a word!
You mention 'hard work'? A Relationship should NEVER be Hard Work! It should be Simple and everyday you tell each other you Love them and it flows from there. If it is Hard Work then it is the wrong relationship!
Got to sign off as the electricity is going off soon!
Sleep well my Friend.

No problem indeed if you are at Agonda beach, Goa ? WOW. Enjoy it there...haha sounds like a true good time with the fish, rum and monkeys and all the setting. I have never thought I knew women, you never know i could only generalize that they are more of a deep-thinker + developed creatures than us men you know, they are like the last updated digital technology, and we are like kind of that manually operated device... I guess we are a bit different when it comes to women, or you may be wiser than me and I am in that period still experiencing things and learning. I am doing fine with things...I do need a break though once in a while, like everyone does. So, you are with your son in India ? How old is he now ? He can still stand you ? Fener by the way, doing good and bad...nothing to mention much. But, I went to a match last Frida with a guest and my son, 1860 Munich was playing at the Allianz Arena, a nice stadium,Vitor Perreira (ex - Fener shitey manager) being the new manager they played well and had a won...good match. I got my flag, sweater and did my part.

Besiktas on a 4 winning match run and 9 Points clear of Fener'!! Sort it out, Peps! That's shocking! Fener' down to 4th and even 4 points behind the Shirtlifters!
Exeter City's run has been the best in their History with 10 wins and 2 draws in the last 12 games. Next up is Plymshite Gargoyle/SCUM away this Saturday and that is one to win - it's like your lot V Shirtlifters but with less knives and flares!!
Please read my India Thread for news on The Trip but it was incredible and with my Son (22) and we had a shocking and great time in equal measures!
Only Women actually KNOW Women. Us Males are just left guessing what they are thinking all the time but they tend to get away with a lot, in my experience. They really are not 'Deep Thinkers' but more deep manipulators. They prey on your weaknesses and exploit.
You keep working on your Relationship as it sounds great with the kid etc and I hope it continues.
Is Turkey safe to come back to now as I so miss the Hotel I stayed in and the fishing over the bridge and the easy walk to the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque and the Effs under the bridge and the Table Football and the Reggae Club!!
Let me know when you are free and we can recreate it - again!

Just had put Besiktas on the cup, made them cry like babies after the match. Robin VP made it, literally, he took the match. Now, we need to recover in the league, but that seems a bit difficult now. A good position at the UEFA and cup winners would be good, but we need to secure champions league next season at the worst.
Exeter exploded ! after some serious losses, such a gerat run was needed. WELL DONE, you guys have true spirit. Finish the scums this Saturday !
Your son 22..WOW, you actually have a son who is a man now. :-) how does that feel ? Well done you guys, keeping up the good communication and managing such a trip and having a good time...
Well, so you say women spend considerable time on manipulating thoughts, that's another way of what I was trying to say with 'deep thinkers' I guess. Those skills might have a ground from such hormonal waves and moods, you know. That way they gain skills by having that 'painful' opportunity look at things from very different emotional grounds to perspectives, which grow them as the monsters you describe. As practice makes it perfect, they gain that enormous experience in the emotions and thoughts field during the early ages. 'They prey on your weaknesses and exploit' that needs special skills anyway...I hear that you are speaking out of experience. But, what do we do ? I dont want to sleep with the dudes at the pub for sure. hahaha.
Is Turkey safe ? Sure it is....as I was standing out of the airport waiting for a taxi on Sunday, I was trying to be careful and quick. Yes, the possibility of any shooting or bombing was on my mind. You can stay at my apartment if you plan a visit and we'd definitely spend some good time. If you are really considering, we need to plan the match tickets earlier, to make sure to have a ticket from the place at the core of the fans. Reggea club has changed hands, and I am not sure the place is still fun, but sure we will find something. For the timing, I visit Istanbul once a month lately, stay a week and fly back. I arrange the dates 3-4 weeks earlier...so, we can do it. Are you back home ?

I am Home! The Green, Green Grass of Home as Tom Jones would sing but this is Devonshire Grass and not Welsh!
Exeter were bottom of the League 2 months ago and are now in prime position to take an automatic spot! Scum V ECFC is a 6 Pointer this weekend!
Son is Defo a Man and he's so unlike me - he doesn't take any Shit off females that he's involved with. If, to him, it isn't 'right' he will let them know! He did keep me sane in India on a few occasions but then I did the same with him! Never travel to India alone and make sure you have a trustworthy and great Companion!
'Deep Thinkers' is Bollocks, Peps!! They are Shallow Thinkers and are never satisfied with what they have and are always digging you in the ribs for something more! Just tell 'em to Chill Their Skin and kiss them. If they are The One then it will end up in Sex and a Laugh!
Never sleep with the Dudes at the Pub - Only if you Split up and that's the best option - Sounds good to me!
Feck! Last Match cost me 85 E!! That is expensive to me! I'd rather buy you a few beers around town and end up playing Pool and listen to some reggae music!
I will defo' pop over when you are there and the flat is free so let me know and i'll look at flights.
GO FENER!!!!!!!

Being at home again, it must be feeling good...Grass is a grass, but when you have a ball and a person to play some football, thats nice.
I know, Exeter was really doing bad, I had the thought it was time to kick Tisdale out. Surely, I was wrong.
Deep thinkers is bollocks ? ahahah. Might be, just be careful anyways, when you take 2 steps be sure that a woman has taken 100 on the same road already.
I surely remember the cost. That's why I wanted to be prepared this time...it had taken me huge phone bill, because I was in Tunisia, and had to contact the ticket company to secure the tickets. Have I ever mentioned this before ? It had costed me more than the ticket. I didnt tell you probably.
OK then...we may organize it for April or May. I will let you know.

Post by Grecian on Feb 11, 2017 21:49:52 GMT 2
What Tickets?? The Fener V Besiktas ones?
So your Phone Bill for the tickets cost you as much as the actual Football Tickets at 85euros a throw??......I really do find that hard to believe!
Anyway! Your lot drew and my lot lost but we are still in the Play Offs which is what matters..
I like your analogy there! You take 2 steps but make sure that the Laydee takes 100! They really are devious bastards but if you find the One on the same Wavelength as you then it's fecking Easy Street and sooooo like a Relationship should be...Coooool as I mentioned above..
April sounds good for a Long Weekend in Istanbul - My Treat!

Yes, that is true, Besiktas tickets...because you were coming from a long way, I did not mind.
We got a draw but all had lost, Besiktas and Shirtlifters. We still have a chance to catch up with the top...
April !! or May is always good time in Istanbul...but there is a matter, on 16th of April there will be a referendum. It will be huge, a whole new system, a change from parliamentary to presidency will be voted and that may create some unwanted atmosphere. I think it is better to see that passing.

Knowing Elections even in England...An Election in Turkey will cause Death I am afraid....Watch out and tell me that I am wrong?
Maybe I pop over in Late July or August when you are there? I will Defo' come over as I have so many great memories of Istanbul...
Fener are 1 down but at home tomorrow in the Europa - you should get through. How many will attend at a Europa League Match at those prices? 30,000 there?
Exeter lost V Scum then let in 2 goals in injury time V Notts County for the draw but i'm back on it and going to City V Stevenage tomoz and i'll go 4-0 to ECFC!!!!
Keep the Faith in so many ways, Peps!

Hard to predict, but tension will be high for sure...A visit after the referendum sounds truly better. How much time would you need for organizing yourself prior to your visit ?
Had a draw at home, yesterday. Fener is definitely not on form recently.

I reckon that tensions will be high for the month before the Elections and for a few months after so I will look out on the News from Turkey now...
I reckon i'll be up for a trip there in about October when it is still warm enough and everyone has calmed down a bit.
A 0-0 at home against a low team has put you down to 4th! Besiktas are romping it and even the Shirtlifters are struggling!
Are Basaksehir the 'New' IBIstanbul? I know we discussed it above but I CBA to scroll up as Sutton V Arsenal is just starting!
Exeter will be in the Play Offs and I will get you a ticket for that and you can stay at mine for free!
|
|
|
Post by pepecura on Feb 21, 2017 12:46:31 GMT 2
You are right. Tensions will be definitely high....
Shirtlifters are also in trouble, just changed their manager. They have no big chance, and there are voices in Fener that our current manager has a one way ticket in his pocket.
Basaksehir is the new name of IBB Istanbul, yes. They have this good management, an interesting team. I would enjoy their winning the title.
That sounds wunderbar ! when are the playoffs ?
|
|
|
Post by Grecian on Feb 25, 2017 21:27:38 GMT 2
Fener' with 2 draws in the Super Lig and being dumped out of the Europa Cup by Krasnodar who i've never heard of but sound like some character from Lord Of The Rings?? What is going on, Peps?
Looks like your Manager is on the Train, already!
Why did IBIstanbul change their name to Basaksehir? That would be unheard of over here.
There's still over 10 games left but after our injury time equaliser at home today, Exeter are on track to make the Play Offs...
I'll wait until we get through those 2 legs and get you a ticket in the Exeter end at Wembley!!
|
|
|
Post by pepecura on Feb 27, 2017 19:41:04 GMT 2
Fener lost all hopes for the league. There is no harmony in the club, that's it.
As far as I know, IBB was financed by the municipality of Istanbul and couple of years ago the club left the municipality and became independent. They play in the small municipal area called Basaksehir, and probably taken the name after that.
When is the time for playoffs again ?

Post by Grecian on Mar 9, 2017 21:41:14 GMT 2
Hang on!
Istanbul maybe a Major Player and City in Europe/Asia but I could walk it in a Day!!
You try that in London..Paris...Berlin...Madrid etc etc....No chance...!!
Fener are being shafted or Basaksehir has a Rich Benefactor!
Either way, Fener' are Fooked and the best they can hope for is Europa League next season and 3rd place behind the Shirt Lifters in the Super Lige..
Exeter lost at the weekend away but have 2 home games in a row and are still in the Play Offs..
Keep the end of May free, Peps!
