That's right, KNSM and Java Island are the biggest and most popular one. Nice place to see some modern Dutch architecture and by now I think they 'pimped' the whole area from Central Station towards the islands, too. Fancy office buildings, re-opening of a hotel and Jamie Oliver has his '15' restaurant there. I lived close to the islands and always went running there. Always windy, but also always quiet.

If I could, I'd like to move around from country to country for about two years, just ideal. Maybe spend a month in each place.

Hedon, I would like your view after you visited Palawan I just hope we can afford to travel again next year after missing our annual S.E.A. trip this year :-( If do then Palawan is high on the list.

I love my own house here in London. But if money were no object I'd also have a small hideaway by the sea. (Would love it to be in New Zealand, pref. my sister's house, but couldn't justify the 'carbon footprint'.)

I would have said Hobart, Tasmania but I am so happy with my lifestyle and FRIENDS here in Melbourne it would be silly to move now My second place would be in Europe for travelling, but only for a few years and then maybe somewhere else I'm not sure I like the idea of being an expat so much, especially as I would be moving without a family or partner...
