Miss Molly told me yesterday that she would like to be an astronaut and "be shot out in a rocket". But apparently she doesn't want to wear "the astronaut's lid" cos no-one will be able to see her long hair! On her brothers first day of school (at their new school) I had this conversation with her: Me: Its almost time to go fetch your brothers MM: Yay! Im so excited! Me: (thinking how sweet it was that she had missed them so much) Did you miss them baby? MM: No! I just want to ask them if they told everyone how wonderful I am! She def has not inherited my lack of self-confidence!!

On Christmas Day, my family and I went to a fancy country club lunch. We had a lovely lunch, but the kids were not particularly interested in eating but were definately looking forward to the dessert buffet.
Our youngest son has a very sweet tooth and in particular loves all things chocolate. I was very surprised to see that he was not having one of the small chocolate mousse. When I asked him why he said "Its duck chocolate mom! I'm not eating that!" "Duck chocolate? Who told you that?" (trying not to laugh) He points to a waitron person (dark skinned lady) and said "her" Then we realised that the waitress had said "dark" but in her african accent it sounded like "duck"! We teased him alot but nothing we said could convince him that it was not duck chocolate!

laughing at the "occasionally"!
My nana used to say "When your kids are small, you could just eat them up. When they get to teenagers, you wish you had!"
she also used to say "You have made me happy twice today. Once when you came and again now that you are leaving!"

This morning Miss Molly asked for cornflakes for breakfast. I was transported back 9 years when my twins would ask for "porn-flakes"! They also used to ask daddy to put arse-de-shave on their cheeks! ;D

I was clearing out some clothes that no longer fit Missy Star to give to a friend. She grabbed a coat and said “No that is for my baby brother”, I said it might be a while til she has a baby brother or sister but she put me straight. Apparently she is growing a baby brother in her tummy and he will be coming out of her mouth any day now and will share her bed.

My cousin, a mother of two herself now, one day walked to my aunt with a cookie tin in her hands and said "mama, kiki a pu" with a dead serious face. She'd finished the cookies and wanted more!

My youngest son, D, who is 11, had to do a speech for school on a news article. He came home and told me about one of the girls who had done her speech on an operation to a baby in uetero. His words to me were "and they operated on the baby, in the room, mom!" It took me a minute to realise that he meant "in the womb"!

We were walking Jade the other day. Two parents and their daughter, of about 8 or 9, were walking on the other side of the street. The girl said, "they need to brush their dog's fur!" I don't know why it cracked us up so much, but it did.

Bless him, I like he doesn’t see limitations/barriers!
Last week we went to Buckingham palace to see the changing of the guards, small person flung herself on the railings to the palace waving her hands through screaming “hey princess, look at my pink nails my mummy painted them, look at my pink coat, I got pink hairbands too”.
A bit later we were in the park and a lady was feeding the squirrels with some biscuits and she offered little star some so she could feed them too..she said “oh thank you so much!” very enthusiastically then reached in, grabbed a couple and shoved them in her mouth. Leaving me to explain I do actually feed her at home.

"Daddy, I'm not tellytaling but ......" and later on in the day "Mama, if my brothers are being naughty is it ok if I tittytale on them" She has been told that tattle taleing is not nice but that is obviously a hard word to remember!

The other day we were standing at the airport watching the planes and another woman walked up. She greeted Miss Molly, who very gingerly said hello. Then she ran over to me and asked "Mama, am I shy today or not?"

Driving in the car she wanted to know if we could give the car in front of us a high five. I asked her how we do that and she replied that you just drive into the back of the car in front of you!

Yesterday she ran off to the toilet. Next thing I hear her calling me. I replied that I was coming in a second. She screamed again. I answered again (a little louder) that I was coming. She screamed again at the top of her lungs. I shouted back "I'm coming! Don't be so impatient!" When I got to the loo she said "I wasn't being impatient mommy, I was just practising my screaming!" haha

Ok.. well lucky I can't try again or hearing about her might change my mind. Love how she is ;D Only thing I can remember is my first boy saying eff instead of firetruck everytime one went past. Rather embarrassing! Keep the thread going, so much fun! Makes me smile.
