"Once again, Alternatives in Health Care Detox Therapy and Mini Med Spa has introduced an anti-aging treatment that is basically unknown in the United States. The technology has been in Europe and Asia for many years. We are one of the only spas in the US to be 100% certified and insured for the use of the BeautyTeck Voltaic Plasma Electrical Arc!
We have recently expanded to become a "mini med" spa that offers more in depth beauty care treatments including, facial injectables, (fillers and neuro-muscular inhibitors). Other options include Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture face and neck lifts, diamond tip micro-derm abrasion, derma-planing, LED light therapy, high frequency electrotherapy, micro-current, Skin Classic Machine, numerous specialty facials, peels, and body treatments."
wtf? "Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture"

Join National Book Award Finalist Brandon Hobson, Pulitzer Prize Finalist Chloé Cooper Jones, and award-winning novelist Kelly Luce in SEPTEMBER 2024 as Writing Workshops Tuscany brings together fiction and nonfiction writers for an intensive week of workshops, craft seminars, one-on-one conferences, and in-depth discussions on the craft and business of writing.
Nestled in the picturesque Tuscan landscape, each workshop will accept no more than 10 participants, fostering an environment of focused learning and exchange. Upon acceptance, writers are invited to submit two pieces of their work; one will be workshopped by your peers and instructor for group feedback, while the other is reserved for a private consultation with your workshop leader, offering tailored guidance on your writing journey.
At Writing Workshops Tuscany, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Italy’s heartland, our mission is to nurture your writing from the solitary confines of the drafting table into the warmth of a vibrant community. For one week in September, we believe there is no more inspiring setting for this transformative experience than amidst the historic charm and natural beauty of Tuscany, a region celebrated for its cultural heritage and artistic spirit.

Jeff;s post about an artist Quesnel... had me confused enough to try and find the guy who invented the lens in lighthouses -- turns out I had a brain fart... it was Fresnel. Oh well, close enough.

I'm working on my taxes and since I have a home based office, I'm entitled to deduct some of my home insurance, heating, power, property tax, and phone. Now, my "office" is very small, and I only worked a total of about 86 hours last year, and deductions are proportional to both of those things. So, I knew it would not be a significant amount of money, but for interest's sake I worked it out. And now I have it set up for this year, when I'll have worked more hours (though possibly not a lot more!).
What made me laugh? My allowable deductions this year worked out to a grand total of.... $12.44
