I voted. But since all we are voting on in this constituency is a police and crime commissioner not many are interested.

It was SNOWING his morning, so I drove to mom's. And am glad I did as I ended out having to go run some chores for her.
She has a dispenser for her meds - it alarms twice per day at pill time and dispenses the appropriate pills. Has worked flawlessly for a year. I tried to make a program change today and, after trying new batteries snd a hard reset, it turned out to be broken.
Fortunately it's still under warranty and they are sending a new one. But it took me a while to organize Mom's pills for the next few days. Luckily she's mentally better than last year so she shouldn't get confused and it should be fine.

a's big concert was today - there are altogether seven concerts at the philharmonie, at each several of the elementary schools with a focus on music present themselves, and today a's school was one of them, so they performed two pieces. she had been very excited but told me that once it started, she stopped feeling nervous and that she wishes there was another concert soon ... afterwards, we had burgers and then ice cream for dinner, to celebrate ...

Another say I the big cleanup. Luckily some more of the family are able to help. Cross though that the skip is on the road not in the drive so a long walk for every bit of junk, and there's a house, a double garage, a car shed and two garden sheds full.

Not been doing much these past days. Actually for the past two weeks I've had too many headaches & migraines again - very frustrating. Now fingers crossed I can go to my vegetable garden tomorrow, get some fresh air and exercise.

had guitar class - at a new location, both the teacher and i had to search for the room, i found it a couple of minutes before her ... then i went to a library (not the one near our home, but for some reason a. thinks that one has better books, and now some of those books were overdue) ... then shopping ... then watched a movie during dinner and read things about the movie online, afterwards ... a. in the meantime went to her dad's after school ...

I’ve been playing in the kitchen. Made an angel food cake then lemon curd with all the leftover yolks. Maybe something with rhubarb later.

I woke up early, faffed about, then had breakfast with mom before taking care of some laundry loads, showering, got the paper, then dressed the table for lunch with family, chatted with niece and her bf. then a little breather before watering the garden, play a few card and board games with mom. now winding down for the night.

Mrs Faz de-weeded the streets this morning while I went to Waitrose. This afternoon we had a joint attack on hire car in France at the end of September. Hiring the car was no problem; paying for it was a nightmare. We have kept our French bank account from when we lived there. But Crédit Agricole have just introduced yet another security process. Phone calls, emails 2 different passwords - an absolute nightmare.

baz, we have debit cards linked to our foreign bank accounts for easy use of funds... at our ages, easy access, particularly for the survivor, is the key!

Jeff, this is a debit card linked to our foreign bank. We like it because within the euro area we don't pay fees to use it. And I agree about ease of use for the survivor. We have avoided one trap that many foreigners are not aware of. Do NOT have your bank account in the name of Monsieur ET madame Faz - because if it is AND then when one dies the account is frozen. So it is Monsieur ou (OR) madame Faz. So the survivor continues to use it.
