I think what's really wanted here is lembas. Where can I buy some?

ah, yes. lembas bread. marvellous. It's probably sold, but no one's going to acknowledge it. Ask the tall guys in the trees. But don't quote me on this.

I made another batch with popped rice and used carrots as a binding agent. Although carrots have a high pectin content it did not quite work, maybe because I added too much water. The spices added this time were miso, garlic and sambal. The rice pops turned all soggy and the bars almost fell apart, but the dehydrator saved them all turning them into crunchy crackers overnight. This mixture also has potential but definitely needs improvement.
What the heck is lembas? Did I miss something? *off googling...*

Nin, the carrot thing made me think of gajjar halwa. not healthy and not savoury, but I guess the way it is prepared could give you a clue.. it's mostly carrots, milk and spices such as cardamom and clove.
I'm with Peregrine Took on Lembas
