This poem was brought to my attention today - I find it heartbreaking:
On a slightly less difficult subject, have you heard of Banksy's project 'Dismaland'? Quite a few of my arty friends visited and everybody raves about it.
Your thoughts?
Please also post any art you feel like discussing in this thread.

I've only got one friend who has been to Dismaland, and she said it was really good. I really liked the movie "Exit through the Gift Shop" and would go to Dismaland if I was in England, I think.
Unfortunately I have a mental block against poetry - just don't appreciate it. Except maybe limericks.
I like difficult literature sometimes. Not super difficult, dense stuff - but a well written one that is done in an odd style will grip me. One that jumps around in time or has a stream-of-consciousness narration, for example.
And I love a lot of modern art. Maybe not the really difficult stuff, but I spent many, many hours in the Pompideau centre when living in Paris and I would find different things to appreciate every time. Stuff that I just glanced at the first several times I saw it became something I focused on and really appreciated later on. It takes time and multiple lookings, sometimes, but is so worth it in the end.

My favourite Poem which is on a communal grave stone where my baby brother is buried (things were a bit different in the mid 50's)
I have a house where I go When there's too many people, I have a house where I go Where no one can be; I have a house where I go, Where nobody ever says 'No'; Where no one says anything- so There is no one but me.

That is really powerful Annie, do you mind if I share on FB?
I love poetry and read it often, all sorts of stuff. I'll post some favorites later, but current poets are very hot on copyright (good for them) so little chance of c&p need to type them out.

It is heartbreaking, yes and extremely powerful.
Yes of course I'd love to visit Dismaland, shame I'm so far away.

i am not that much into poetry usually, but this poem is very touching, especially as it is a topic i can't get out of my head just now - especially in the last days since getting home from vacation, part of me suddenly feels very selfish for spending so much money on my own fun when others are in need so nearby. and there are so many people who just don't seem to get what the poem is saying, that no one would put themselves or their family through this, if they did not really need to.
