m.youtube.com/watch?v=pmJ8rkDya24This on the same day I heard McDonald's new sourcing for soy products was helping reduce deforestation in Brazil. These multinationals have real power that politicians can only dream of. Looks like people power has a new outlet away from the ballot box.

well, I think people must use both the power of social media and the power of the ballot. I'd add that voting with your wallet is another extremely potent power.

See, I've always tried to do that (vote with wallet) but always felt like a tiny fish swimming against the shoal.
This social media aspect on the other hand gives it's some real clout...
Still doubt the dreadful pub we met up in east London will ever suffer though.
