Sounds great Voy. My lot from today's episodes would have felt right at home. No evil thoughts though about flying on a bunch of twigs and a long stick

Watched a lovely movie tonight on Netflix. "Nebraska" with Bruce Dern, who won the best actor Oscar for his role. I'm not good at giving summaries but here's what Roger Ebert had to say... linkI imagine any of you who are movie buffs have seen it. I highly recommend it if you haven't.

Have you noticed that the moment the Cold War stopped global warming began. I think that is suspicious but I don't know who to suspect.

nah, Baz. We began talking about global warming at that time. climate change began earlier than that. That is true insofar as the term "global warming" became popular around the end of the 1980s. I cannot recall which term was used before then other than a reference to the greenhouse effect and the resultant warming due to the burning of fossil fuels. I learned from a friend I had not contacted in many years that I banged on about that effect in the late 60s early 70s so it has been fairly general knowledge at least since then.

While we were having breakfast fog has descended. I have looked at the online weather forecast and it doesn't show fog. If weather forecasters had their salary cut every time they got it wrong do you think they'd try harder? And if they pleaded that forecasting weather was incredibly difficult then why did they choose that job in the first place? They don't know.
